Resources for the Future Changing Attitudes Bait and Switch
Most people will signal virtue as long as they believe that it’s not them who will feel the consequences of such action. Things becoming more expensive is a relative term as it’s camouflaged and happens slow enough for people not to notice violently enough. It’s time to show people the full effect and the only way to do this is to wait for major blackout events. I mean daylong blackouts. Sitting in the dark gives you time to ponder your stuff. But for that pondering to be fruitful we need to work the people. They might not take note at the moment but it leaves a splinter in their mind and this splinter will start to come out thick and hard when they sit in the dark.
