Restoring Financial Regulators’ Right to Fight Climate Change
Regulators derive their powers from a law. Whatever parliamentary assembly has equipped them with those powers that can also retract them at will. There is no God-given right to the regulator or indeed anyone. If the voters boot out one crew and bring in another that decides to abolish the regulator thats just it. So, when did any regulator have powers to fight Climate Change that were later retracted? Pure nonsense.
