LNG from Yamal has to come on ice-class ships until North-Western Europe. Those ships are way more expensive to buy and to run than normal LNG vessels. Then LNG needs to be reloaded – that’s not free as well and then it goes to wherever it needs to go on a normal vessel. This whole ordeal is not cheap – but Yamal gas is more competitive for Europe than anything else. Yeahh right …
