Rocketing Energy Prices Were Part Of The Plan All The Time
Oh, are renewables happy now that hydrocarbon prices are so high everywhere? They should pause and think again. The one big issue renewables have is that they are intermittent. There are many ways to balance out this intermittency but they are all expensive. The cheapest and easiest one is using gas generation to keep the lights on. Conventional power generation sources don’t need this balancing service – only other renewable folks need them and their services just got a lot more expensive. Renewables are still causing blackouts and sky-high power bills.
