Rolls-Royce One Step Closer To SMRs

I like nuclear energy. And I like innovation. So this one comes naturally to me. It must still clear my mental hurdle of efficiency and economics which essentially means that it can run without subsidies required. And with that I mean no subsidies at all. That said, at least they will deliver power when it is needed rather than when the wind blows or the Sun shines. That will take quite some strain from the net. But conventional nuclear plants do that too. They are horribly slow to be built and very expensive because of the extreme overregulation that requires everything to be shrouded in endless streams of paper from studies by consultants. Clean that up and conventional nuclear is a great option we have right now.
