Russel Brand was a darling of the global left for the longest time. Now that he has turned against them, he gets the Trump treatment. Those who know me longer will also know that I don’t subscribe to the left-right dogma. I hold politicians of all colors in contempt. I think they are all of the same ilk and only want to milk the state for what it’s worth. I also don’t think Brand has turned to the right. He may have come to the same conclusion I have – that politics is a dirty and dishonest business by its very nature. In this universe of dirty, the left seems to have opened a new chapter.

Russell Brand was first questioned by police over claims of sexual assault back in 2014, when a masseuse said he groped her for 40 minutes inside a mansion in Oxfordshire.
