Russia denies responsibility for Europe’s winter energy crisis
I know, we like to go down the easy route. We like to pretend that there is a big, bad bogeyman that is responsible for all our ills. Denial is something I practiced when I was a kid and knew that I did something reprehensible. Looks like some adults still go down this route. That said, Russia is not responsible for the European energy crisis. Europe is. We have liberalized and thrown security of supply to the curb. We love the little games we play on energy prices and let essential infrastructure rot. We want pixie dust energy to take the place of hardcore baseload production. Not Russias fault.
