Russia, Saudi Arabia and the US – what next for oil markets?
In the early 2000s, activists have forced OMV out of Sudan because that would have helped Sudan and would be bad for the company. Once the European companies were once, China came in and pillaged the lands. European upstream companies would have brought some accountability to Sudanese oil. The activists had killed the goose. US shale operations are a lot more environmentally friendly than many OPEC countries. Limiting US oil is destroying the environment. Has that ever entered activists’ minds?
