Russian LNG, natural gas shouldn’t compete in export markets, Gazprom says
How would they go about ensuring that in a world where destination clauses are unenforceable? Besides, I have no doubt that their LNG exporters would love to dump every single drop of LNG into an Asia that pays premiums. Who wants to sell his wares for less than he may potentially hope to get? But when Asia does not need the LNG there simply is no other place to go to North Western Europe is the only sink market on Earth thats capable of serving that role. I understand the predicament – alone there is no good solution for Russia. The genie has left the lamp.
