When the UK scampered out of the European Union, it had a chance to become a special place close to a monolith hell-bent on self-destruction. It could have been an opportunity to turn bad for the better. But never did I think that the UK wants to be holier than the continental extremists and ram some of the most extreme policies on this planet down its population and its guests. There are first signs that the population starts to rebel at those targets but they are obviously not enough. Policymakers live in a spacial world – detached from all reality.
