Satellite and Surface Temperatures
One of the worst obscenities we have done to science is replacing real data with conjecture. I am not a scientist but I had learned early in my life that if I had a conflict between a direct measurement and some derivative of something else, I will always prefer the direct measurement. And no matter what someone throws at me, but “microwave radiation emitted from oxygen atoms” is conjecture. There are numerous variables going into the equation – plenty of scope to make sure you get whatever you want to see.
