Saudi Arabia, Hit With Oil Collapse and Coronavirus, Tosses Lifelines
It may just be a strange coincidence but many times dynasties that are at the end of the line splash out with new and shiny megaprojects. Maybe they want to make the world look away from the real issues in the country and that they cannot really afford what they try to dazzle us with. Saudi Arabia is very bloated and has a large population that has gotten used to doing nothing much. As long as the oil money was plentiful, that mattered less. Now, this is an existential threat. But asking Saudis to chip in some real wok will likely make them demand rights as well. Recipe or a disaster waiting to happen?
