SEA-LNG report: LNG a mainstream fuel of the future

LNG is not the fuel of the future – it’s the fuel of the present. A few years ago I spoke with a cruise ship executive and he told me that considering a newbuild for a cruise ship that does not run on LNG today would be considered a risky proposition. Just a few more years further back it would have been the exact opposite. LNG has arrived in international shipping. It has made a mark in trucking and bussing as well. The next 10 years will see it spread into all heavy horsepower applications from rail to river shipping and construction machines to name but a few.

The multi-sector industry coalition SEA-LNG released a new report showing that LNG is no longer a niche option but a marine fuel of the future.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
