It seems that all Methanol-ready vessels are still primed for Heavy Fuels and can go back to burning them in an instant. It would be interesting to know how many methanol-only ships are out there. I suspect there will be only a few if there is even one. This shows that there is no commitment. Most LNG-fueled vessels are single-fuel. There is confidence in LNG as a shipping fuel and it is cleaner even than methanol. And its vapors won’t kill you. Try that with methanol.
