Shafting The Poor
It’s funny that those policies are still being sold primarily by political parties that claim to have the fate of the average person and the poor at heart. Education through raising energy prices – as if the poor have any choice. They are down to the bare minimum and this is becoming a luxury real quick. When the city of Vienna canceled the heating subsidy for the poor and instead installed a subsidy for the installation of more energy-efficient heaters, it was the well-off that benefited. The poor are in no position to lay out the expense in the first place, let alone cover their part in it. It’s a callous policy and the people should know all about it.
