Shale oil’s good, but it’s not here to stay

I am not a shale driller, I am not even a driller or an upstream guy. I do contracts and project economics and I do high level strategy. I am certainly not qualified to speak up on shale with authority. But I do know one thing. Don’t ever underestimate the innovative spirits of a hard-pressed entrepreneur in a corner. Shale is going to be with us for long, or oil goes finally down the drain.

U.S. shale may be the darling of the oil industry right now, but the boom isn’t going to last, according to the International Energy Agency.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
