Shell to pause Dutch biofuels project as market sags

So what happens to all those biofuel projects now? For the bio-LNG part, I have an answer. The entire LNG value chain is identical for bio and conventional LNG, with the only exception of production. Methane is a pure product, meaning liquefaction, storage, transport and distribution down to the engines are the same for both. You can one day fuel up on 100% conventional LNG and the next day on 100% bio LNG and the vehicle won’t notice a change. In LNG’s case, much of the existing bio infrastructure can be reused for conventional. If this is no risk mitigation, what is?
