Should Doctors Be Put In Charge Of Making Decisions About Bodies?

Almost any tyrannical regime history ever knew was supported by a broad class of intelligencia. People like doctors are supposed to make up the intellectual backbone of a country. Heinz Mayer is one of Austria’s most famous and notorious scholars on Constitutional Law. The man is invited into any high-level discussion round where constitutional issues are at stake. He was also part of a panel discussing the legality of a mandatory COVID vaccination for every inhabitant of Austria. He fully supported the most draconian measures including some of the most egregious human rights abuses I have ever seen in my country. The man was solidly on the wrong side of history. Having memorized lots of stuff does not make you a paragon of virtue.

Answer me this: is a man, say a veterinarian, more or less moral because he has memorized all breeds of dog? Does this give him a better grasp of right and wrong? Given a veterinarian…
