Solar Panel Complaints Are the Latest Attack on Private Property Rights for Farmers

Owners of the ground should be able to do with it whatever they like as long as they don’t cause harm to others. That gives anti-frackers some cause albeit most of the fracking opponents bring in some of the most absurd cases I have ever seen. Those frackers do their due diligence and do their work to be inside the existing norms and as long as they do that, they should be able to proceed. So it should be for solar farms as well – or not? The key difference between frackers and solar farms is that frackers don’t take subsidy money that has been expropriated from the citizens to drill their holes. They are market-financed. Solar farms are automatically harmful to anyone as they decrease energy security and place massive money burdens on everyone. That’s not anti-farmers – it’s pro-everyone.
