Somalian president approves Coastline oil exploration agreement

Fresh oil, is always good news to me as it will help take the edge off the high energy prices – eventually. But look where it comes from. Not that I would have a problem with anything from any country but we still must ask ourselves if after all we have seen over the last few years we really want to trust our energy security to countries that either don’t like us very much or might soon not like us very much. Having production at home makes you sleep a lot better. And we could do shale if we really wanted. What’s it going to be then?

Coastline Exploration Limited confirmed it has received final authorization for it to proceed with its exploration program from the competent authorities within the Federal Government of Somalia
