Specter of Trump Tariffs Spurs Interest in US Gas Contracts

This might soothe Trump for a short while but it won’t mend the problem. Europe for example likes globalism as long as it derives all the benefits from the protection of the global order by the US. Europe has been on the goodies train for so long and got used to being able to sell its wares everywhere while protecting its national markets, which seems to be the most normal of things to them. But it is not. There is no more good reason why the US should bankroll everybody’s sales pitches. Globalism is expensive. European economies would find markets within their own space better than produce for the world. Globalism is dead.
