Strong Association Between Solar Variation and Century Scale Climate Shifts
Wait – there is some evidence for the role of the Sun when it comes to climate shifts. When the Sun is high in the sky, it’s warmer than when it’s not shining at all. A slight change in the tilt of the Earth’s axis is responsible for temperature changes of sometimes 50 degrees Celsius at the same time of day but at different times in the year. We call that seasons and it’s all due to the Sun’s activity and orbital mechanics. Compared to those monumental temperature shifts, the tiny changes we got over the last decades are irrelevant. It’s the Sun stupid.
