Successful Deployment of Hydrogen Technology Will Require Clear Regulations and an Efficient Permitting Process
If you run a restaurant in Vienna and you need to upgrade your electrical system you will always strive to keep it within the bounds of the permit that you already have. The one thing you don’t want is to run foul of regulations and force authorities to redo the permitting process. Because your old stuff often works well but standards have evolved to the point where you would have to rip out everything you have. Same here with hydrogen or any of the new stuff. We have never done it at scale so they will drive everyone nuts with regulation. Transform H2 into CH4 and the problem is gone.
