Don’t think I want to be cute on purpose but most of the population of the world is more like sleepwalking rather than being fully conscious, sharp humans. It’s not because they can’t do different. They could any day if they only wanted. However, humans are not built to make conscious and unbiased decisions. Humans are used to being fed narratives as those narratives make the world around them so much easier to deal with and comprehend. If you have pre-package solutions for everything there is much less thinking to be done by yourself. But once those narratives can’t mask the effects of wishful thinking anymore, higher brain function kicks in again. That’s where many are now.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
