Tellurian seeks more time to complete Driftwood LNG terminal

The Driftwood project faced the single biggest booster LNG has ever seen and we have seen our fair share of LNG-boosting crazes. Who does still remember the China bubble, the Fukushima kick, or the North American El Dorado factor (yes I know that’s quite some years in the past)? All those, as massive as they may have been paled in comparison to the Ukraine war booster. Sure, there is a perceived problem with conventional energy projects which makes financing them harder but the Ukraine boost is still one of a kind. And Tellurian did not pull its project off despite this massive boost. Something is fundamentally wrong with Driftwood.

US LNG terminal developer Tellurian has requested more time from the US FERC to complete the construction of its Driftwood LNG project in Louisiana.
