Texas to United Nations: Pound Sand

Texas is a prosperous state because of its light regulatory hand, reasonable taxation, a business-friendly demeanor. Oil and Gas come as the cherry on top. The last winter vortex served as a wake-up call for Texas energy professionals and although it will take more disaster and a lot of missed opportunities to really fix things, at least there is the awareness that more of the green stuff is going to cost them dearly. If I was an American, I would be Texan.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
