The 50-Euro (Yes, 50 Euros) Lawsuit Threatening OPEC

Law is a figment of our imagination. Every single statute and other rule we are living by has been imagined by humans and made by humans. It can be unmade by humans. There is no such thing as a natural order of things and even equity is what we imagine it to be. This means also that except for any international obligation any OPEC country might have signed up to, there is nothing prohibiting them to form a cartel. We may enforce rules against cartels in our own markets and may slap penalties on products from the country of origin but oil will likely just stop coming to this place. Don’t like it – don’t buy it.
