The Bahamas welcomes registry’s first LNG-powered passenger ship

Here comes the present (immediate future) of shipping. And most of all of the cruise shipping industry. It always spoiled the experience when those vessels charted tropical islands with white beaches or arctic shores and then they dragged this black smoke hail behind them. Shipping is the biggest emitter of true emissions in the entire transport sector. It might become the poster child.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
