The big idea: Why the laws of physics will never explain the universe

When scientists get creative, we should increase salt intake when consuming their latest antics. This does apply to climate scientists just as much as to astronomers and those who study the fundamental nature of everything. Theories come and go, many are dead wrong. But that does not deter scientists from formulating new theories. That is fine as we need to probe and try new things if only we could keep theory apart from verified facts. But we can’t. We tend to listen to majority opinions rather than take the known facts, compare them to the theories, and apply our own thinking. Models should always come with flashy warnings.
