The coal price has skyrocketed in 2021 – what does it mean for net zero?

What it means is that coal becomes sexy again for those catering to the real energy needs of the planet. It also means that going for gas makes even more sense as the time of ultra-cheap coal seems to be over for now. Expect the price for other energy forms such as gas and oil to rise as well. The world needs energy and when one destroys some of the reliable bits and pieces, high prices is what you get.
