The Conversation: How do we Protect Venice from Flooding and Sea Level Rise?
Venice has been sinking into the water for centuries now. Yes, that was a thing before the industrial revolution already. It’s not rising waters, it’s that the ground it’s built upon gives way, and the city goes down. What can be done about it? What we do now, lift up the building and renew better foundations. Expensive, but if we want to preserve Venice thats what we need to do.
