The fingerprints of climate change are all over a budget navigating an economy in transition

Next year I will have my 20-year anniversary as a natural gas man. In 2005 I joined the gas trading outfit of OMV and I never looked back. One permanent feature of those 20 years was that every single year, I was told that this was a dying industry and that we were on the way out so investing in a career in LNG was wasted time. And every single year since 2005 (and before) the LNG industry grew by leaps and bounds. There are more projects than ever before, there is vastly more tonnage than ever before and things that were considered exotic back then are normal operating procedures by now. The analysts were all wrong all the time. And we still listen to them. Who is crazy here?
