The future of liquefied natural gas: Opportunities for growth
LNG has indeed the best of all growth prospects for the simple reason that it’s a very mature technology and it uses a molecule at its base thats one of the most prevalent organics on the planet. Just think of it – there is methane on Saturnian moons, on Mars, on Venus heck even on the Moon they have found traces of it. We have grown up believing that methane is a product of life when in fact the vast majority of the methane in Earth is produced by the geological forces of the planet itself. The Earth is one giant methane making machine and the atmosphere is most capable of dissolving it into CO2 and water. As otherwise, we would not measure it in ppb. LNG is going through a stretch of pain now but its future could not be better.
