The Great Grand Bluff Of Science

I was always some sort of doubter. When I went to school I asked uncomfortable questions. Some of them at least. We still all had some certainties. At least we believed we had some. We believed in news – more or less. We believed in the sayings of some institutions – partly at least. But most of all, we believed in science and the doctors. No more. I have never seen a time when a large part of the population does not believe in anything anymore. And that’s problematic. As we cannot possibly verify everything there is with our own senses. In fact, the amount of things we can truly verify is very, very small. Loss of trust is a disease that can only be remedied in time by the application of ruthless transparency and honesty. I can’t see that coming yet.
