That’s a theory I naturally subscribe to. Every person has a threshold by which they must necessarily look deeper, and resist. That being said, that’s different for each one of us. Mine has been reached years ago. But I seem to be part of a small minority. There is also peer pressure and the angst to be vilified. And also the nagging question if your job allows any thinking outside the limits of unithought. It’s complicated. Why have North Koreans never reached the limit? Where are the limits for Cubans? We shall not tell ourselves that eventually, it will all be good. It may not.

The pampered ideologues, the laptop classes, those sporting their luxury beliefs as their badge of climate virtue, rule the roost but for not much longer.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
