No matter how many billions have been killed by the great communist ideology, people will always continue to fall for it. It’s a necessary consequence of popular democracy. It’s a giant free for all and political parties quickly find out that by giving in to the most idiotic of the mob’s wishes, they can preserve their perks for a little longer. Little by little, the masses start to believe that Manna rains from the heavens if they only pester politics enough. All significant political parties in my own country today are solidly on the left.
