The impact of elevated CO 2 on yield of vegetables
Greenhouse growers know that. Increase CO2 inside the Greenhouse and just about everything gets better. Some buy CO2 commercially and pump it into their greenhouses as the produce grows faster, bigger, is way more healthy, needs less water and fertilizer, tastes better, and allows for much better resource utilization. Remember, they buy the CO2 so it costs them money to increase CO2 and they still are happy to pay up as they know how good it is for plant life. Our current atmosphere is very CO2 poor. We should increase it by a factor of 5 at least to give nature much better protection against anything that hits it.
