The Indian Apartment Behind Russian Efforts to Break USA Gas Sanctions

Even if Russian LNG gets through to India, I doubt they will be very happy with it. A short glance at the map suffices to see that transport alone costs a fortune. Not only must Eurasia be circumvented, but during winter they must also take the route through the Mediterranean paying for Suez and exposing themselves to Red Sea Houthi militant attacks. On top of astronomical transport costs come massive discounts as I know the Indians and they drive a hard bargain at normal times. When Russia is in such trouble, they will squeeze them lemon-like. I doubt Russia makes money on this.

It's sitting 90 miles southeast of the Indian city of Mumbai.
