This is revenue to the taxmen while there are no costs to him. EV’s bring much less or no taxes in but also cost a lot of money to the taxman as he needs to cover those subsidies. When the market flips over to EV’s, subsidies will have to go away which makes them more expensive still and taxes will have to be brought to the level currently borne by ICE’s as the taxman needs the cash. This makes EV’s and hence all personal mobility unaffordium for average people. I have a feeling they won’t appreciate. Newsom – bring forward those dates to 2021 if you dare. But I think not.
