The modern rate of sea level rise is not even close veering outside the range of natural variability.

We don’t need to go far to see what happens. According to Hansen, the New York West Side Highway should have been underwater since 2006. That’s almost 2 decades in the past. Assuming the same rate of sea level rise that Hansen took to underpin his assumption, the water should approach the first floors of any buildings there by now. Lower Manhattan would be underwater in large parts. Looking at the situation in the real world, the water is not even close to reaching the road. There is a walkway thats lower than the street on the way to the water. It’s dry too. Its far above the waves. When will we start calling out BS?
