The rich will soon pay a heavy price for net zero

When are you rich? When you own more than a million USD? Or 10? Or 100? Or does owning a house suffice? Much of the damage to the economy has already been done, so even if we stopped the madness today, it would take a long time to pay for it all. But we won’t stop now so it’s about to get a lot worse. I ask again. Who is rich? Only taking on the truly rich won’t put enough money into government coffers so they will define rich as anything that allows them maximising gains. It’s a bad time to own anything right now. If you have not started thinking about your coping mechanisms, maybe you should start.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
