The rise of solar power is jeopardising the WA energy grid, and it’s a lesson for all of Australia
No calculation on solar ever includes the cost of backup and also the cost of grid upgrade. Things that are not necessary with stable forms of energy generation which means that 100% of those costs must come on top of the cost of solar and this means that all dreams of ever being the cheapest source must be debunked. Solar enthusiasts will resort to verbal violence in order to shut the debate down but they never own their real figures. Maybe Australia must pay the price to show us where this leads. But Venezuela just shows us where socialism leads and many people still want it. Pain that was not personally experienced is worthless it seems.
