The Shipping Industry Wants to Be Taxed for Its Carbon Emissions

Sure they want it. If everyone has to pay up it’s a non-market item that everyone has to factor in. And as long as all others suffer the same, it’s a neutral pass-through for them. Easy solution for a problem that shipping has. Avoids having to go through the wrenching process of actually standing for something. But shipping has worse to come than the activists anyhow.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
