The six ways renewables increase electricity bills

It’s a very simple fact that I have repeated countless times to countless people over many years and yet, it would seem as if it’s news to everyone. When you put in a gas power generator, or a coal plant, or a nuclear plant, or hydro you get power whenever you need it. No backup is needed. Not so with wind and solar. This means that only wind and solar need a second set of reliable power sources to make sure that things do not fall apart. The entire cost of the second set must therefore be attributed to the cost of wind and solar. Who does not get this?
