The Small Modular Reactor Revolution Is Arriving Soon

I like the concept, I like the technology, and I like the promise it holds. I love technology and am a fan of innovation. But I am also much older than just half a century and try my best to live in the real world. When will we have those reactors? I mean for real. I have followed this trend for at least a decade now and so far, nothing operational to show for. I have more of an impression that this is being used as some band-aid to soothe the pain of failing renewables. It’s not a solution and I have a feeling that those proposing it know that full well but one new promise buys them time to distract people from the disaster they have brought over us. We have real problems so we need real solutions.

It’s been a big year for nuclear energy in the U.S. The Department of Energy has allocated a large amount of capital to nuclear energy research and has committed $900 million to advance Gen III+

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
