I think the proponents of wind energy (the very high-level ones) don’t care much. They likely know that it will never work for many reasons but right now it’s a useful vehicle to run the financial schemes on. Once it’s not useful anymore they will dump it as they dump anything that does not serve its purpose anymore. Those are the same people that sold subprime CDOs to everyone until the very last second knowing fully well that everything would crash.
