The U.S. Should Not Count On China’s Climate Goals

There are no climate goals for China. There are promises and we have deluded ourselves into believing that they count for something. Like Cypher in the Matrix said, Ignorance is bliss. Even feigned ignorance. Our leaders should be able to see through the mist. And I bet they do – to their advantage. Most certainly not to ours.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
