What do you learn in school? Reading, writing, calculus, lots of stuff. The essential thing though is to make you comply. Anyone who has gone rogue on an open-topic examination knows about that. It goes wrong way more than it pays so you learn to paint by the numbers. After your mandatory stint you may go on to High School, then maybe College and whatnot. The longer you stay in the formal education loop, the more you get imprinted. Academics have spent most time in this zombification factory and hence cannot have any independent thought. Some relearn that in life but most don’t—especially those in useless sciences. Free Speech is toxic to them as it exposes them to reality and they hate that as it shows them how handicapped they are in reality.
