The World Needs Energy Stability More Than Ever

There is no one solution to the world. Every region, country, or city has its advantages and issues. The US can lean back on copious shale oil and gas. China will go down the road for more coal and nuclear. Russia is – well Russia. And Europe – Europe needs to work on its problems. There are no fast solutions. Austria can fall back on hydropower and develop some shale. Nuclear and coal is for Germany but it will take a long time to crank up so its imports for the country for a long time. Imports expose anyone to the whims of the world. We should have learned that lesson by now. Solutions are simple – but never easy. Do we have the stomach for it?

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
