The world’s biggest carbon capture facility is being built in Texas. Will it work?

One nice day, when a majority of people wake up from the zombie-like trance they seem to spend their lives in and see CO2 for what it really is those contraptions will be known as the doom machines. The concentration of CO2 in the Earth’s atmosphere is laughably low. At 0,04% of the ambient air, you need to process incredible amounts of air to get the pure CO2 and then this CO2 is not available for plants anymore. At the concentration of today, we are very close to plant death so we should blow more CO2 into the air rather than remove it.

The plant will inject 500,000 tons of carbon dioxide into the ground each year – but is it just greenwashing from big oil?
